Originally conceived by former Oakley board member Michael Jordan, the Oakley Mars sunglasses were designed to make a bold statement. In 1998, the Mars sunglasses were introduced to the public, and shortly becoming a cult classic. The frames, made from X-Metal, required a complex manufacturing process, and they were produced for only a brief period. Oakley is now reintroducing this iconic design with the leather-wrapped X-Metal frame and Prizm 24K lens.
