Los Angeles adds another fine art museum to its belt with the recently opened Broad Museum. Built by Eli and Edythe Broad the new Contemporary Museum is home to nearly 2,000 art pieces from some of the most influential contemporary artists known to man such as Jean-Michel Basquiat, Barbara Kruger, Damien Hirst, Takashi Murakami, Jeff Koons, Ed Rusha to only name a few.
The Broads have collected these fine works of art for the last five decades and continues to grow their collection by one piece of artwork a week. The Broad is letting folks in by reservation online on the museum's website, but wanders can join in on the fun as well, just be prepared for a long queue for general admission
